"TURN YOUR HEAD AND KAFKA"

12" X 12" acrylic on canvas
(image property of Steven A. Miller 2014)
The face was modeled after Vincent Price in "The Tingler."  Though Kafka's character Gregor Samsa morphs into a Beetle, I felt roaches get more of a reaction, so there you have it.  I was inspired by the paintings showcased on the The Night Gallery.

If you haven't read Kafka's Metamorphosis, please do so, here is a link: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/5200

CHAT VS. SHAT

From an idea by my wife Stephanie.  Like most of my paintings, it started with the words, "Hey, you  know what would be funny?"  Only this time, the words came from her.  Toupee rather than Tournee, a loving jab.  I'm a big fan, so it's all done with love.
